Hey Ilan... those are really really great!
Glad you could be there to enjoy the super conditions and to capture such great moments with you own talented touch on the trigger!
Those of Amine are very nice and those of Pat... wow!... simply awsome!!!

I was having fun at Beauport with all the kite dudes but I was kind of regretting not having time to go check things out at St-Jean... You solve that for me with all those nice shots!

I was at Berthier on monday morning but it just got too intense for kitesurfing... Had to set back to Beauport Bay with almost 20 knots less than what I left behind. Still well enough for kiting but I was missing the delightful waves of Berthier...

See ya back in our light freestyle Montreal...

Hey Robert... just had a little 5 a 7 in Valois and I am officially Vulcaning again :-) I have finally recovered from a dislocated toe. :-)

Rob was at Berthier today. He said the waves where small which surprised me as we had at least 5 to 6 foot ramps when we where there. What did the waves look like when you where there? The photos I took at Berthier where after the big wind and high tide so they did not reflect well the actuall conditions we sailed.

Are you thinking of Quebec tomorrow?

Ilan

Photos from my trip to Aruba in March... We had a very unusual wave for a place that is normally flat... They had actually closed the beach I had to beg to get them to let me out... It was sick :-)

Hi Ilan! It's good to know that you're back on your... toes!!!

I wish I could have stayed in Quebec for a 4th day of fun but had to come back to work in Montreal... Looks like St-Jean was much better than Plattsburgh today (thursday)... A sweet steady 25 knots all day... less than preceding days, but still... it's St-Jean!!!

About Berthier, conditions will vary drastically over there with the depth of the water in the bay and direction of the tide... The best waves are definitively when the tide is moving in, from mid-point till max level... And yes, it can get quite big!
I've seen often overhead high waves there on coming tides. But when the tide goes out, the bay surface flattens down, leaving only small unpleasant chop.
So I guess Rob was there while the tide was going down...

Still a very nice place, with a beautiful landscape with all the mountains on north shore... Also, very nice and excellent restaurant right on the spot, great place to be for a gratifying after-session meal, with a beautiful sunset widescreen colorful show!!!

Berthier is definitively more windy than Baie de Beauport with much bigger waves, but for kiting... Beauport is really hard to beat! So convenient!...

Take care!
